A Subjective Map of New York City

The Subjective Map of New York City is a personal map of the city showing all of our movements during one year. We tracked our location with OpenPaths, red representing my girlfriend, blue for myself. The yellow dots are locations where we took photos. When combined, a subjective map emerges, a visual diary of our lives during one year. Each dot or route holds a memory and has a meaning to us.

All 10,760 datapoints were collected between March 2012 – January 2013.
